“Do not pass up a chance to work with Ellen Chappell!

I’m an amateur photographer with a good eye; I see angles and light and framing. My social media feed is filled with many photos of my horses, dogs, and even our barn cat. What I didn’t have and what I needed was professional-quality pictures of myself with my horses. Once I saw the exceptional results of my session with Ellen, I realized that I also wanted professional artistic photos of my entire animal family.

I’ve known Ellen since childhood, but we really got to know each other working as fellow board members for the United States Lipizzan Federation. In this capacity, I’ve admired her professionalism, big picture thinking, creative problem solving, and her passion. I jumped at the chance to work with her when I found out that she was offering her photography services for everyone.

My session with Ellen far exceeded my expectations. I felt nervous and awkward when she first arrived as I was anticipating being uncomfortable in front of a camera lens, wondering if I was capable of ‘looking a certain way.’ Ellen took her time with me, gently encouraging me with guided direction for correct posture and placement. We took warm up photos which helped me relax into my authentic self. My horses and I have never taken such elegant photos!”

“Ellen Chappell is a most rare combination of professionalism and artistic talent. My photo shoot was organized, on time and excellently coordinated. The images are stunning. Ellen has an eye for that special moment, for catching a subject’s personality through the twinkle of the eye or toss of the head. From booking the appointment to her virtual studio image selection process the experience is top notch and contemporary. If you want lots of average images for an 8 X 10 frame or for posting to Facebook Ellen is not the photographer for you. If you want a work of art as a statement piece for your home you can do no better. Ellen is versatile as well, doing horse sales adds, and other more commercial work as well.
